Optimus blinked her eyes open and yawned as the first rays of sunlight broke through the leafless branches of the thicket. She was alone, but the spot where the stag had been was still warm so he was not too far away. She stretched herself out for a moment before slipping out of the thicket and shaking her fur out. She looked around at the snow-covered trees and the even deeper snow covering the ground. She sighed before she started to dig through the snow to get a few shrivelled shoots. Then the wizards of Kaonol began to work their magic and changed the once beautiful yellow mage into a spider monster. After she woke up, she was in the forest. Her parents had put a bounty on her head saying that she killed their 'beloved daughter'.* The poor spider creature woke up in a cold sweat.
